Millie Lihoreau

Millie is a Masters student at the Royal College of music, supported by the H R Taylor Trust, where she was the horn winner of the Solo Brass Competition 2020. She graduated with a First Class BMus honours from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she won the Richard Bissill Horn Competition 2018. In 2018 Millie founded Cor8, an all female horn octet who were featured performers at the British Horn Festival 2019. She was 2nd horn with the Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra, plays with Capital Orchestra and volunteered with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and homeless musicians working towards a performance of ‘Jesus Blood’ at the Tate Modern. Millie toured Russia and the UK with the Britten Shostakovich Festival Orchestra and toured to Guernsey with Phantom of the Opera. Millie works with Aldeburgh Young Musicians as a tutor and head of applications and auditions.
